NOTE :: TV screens “for rent” in Miami are a very popular rental item, and we receive many rental requests.

So, we wanted to answer a few common questions, provide some helpful tips and explain how easy it is to choose the right TV for your next special event in South Florida.

LET’S START :: Here are the questions you should ask yourself and the audio visual rental company you’re working with.

1. What will you be showing on your TV monitor?

Will you be showing a presentation from your personal PC or MAC?  Using a PlayStation or DVD player? (even though no one uses DVD players anymore!)

You’ll need the correct adapters. Ensure you have an HDMI output (VGA is a thing of the past!) to connect to your TV and that the TV you’re renting has an HDMI input. (This simple step can save you a headache!)

Whatever video source your using, check that the TV has the correct input. (With your spare time enjoy shopping in Coconut Grove!)

Most all new TV models only have HDMI inputs, so confirm this detail, especially if your computer only has HDMI output. We always ask :: HDMI output? So should you! (Videos can also use HDMI or SDI for output/input.)

Not using a computer?

Make sure the TV you rent has a USB input and is a “smart” TV. Remember, your TV is not a computer, so provide your slides in JPEG format, not PowerPoint, as the TV won’t have PowerPoint to play your presentation.

You can also connect to your TV via WiFi. Test this well in advance and at your event location, as signals in large hotel conventions or hotel meeting rooms may be an issue due to in-house WiFi strength. (Now you can enjoy the Art Deco architecture on Ocean Drive, Miami Beach!)

2. Will you need sound for your presentation?

When renting a TV, if you need sound, make sure to ask if the TV has speakers. Some TV monitors are designed only for image display, while others have built-in speakers. You can always rent external speakers if your audience is large or if you need extra sound quality for your booth. (Visit the beaches at Key Biscayne!)

3. What size TV do you need to rent?

TV monitors come in all sizes, so choose what’s best for your meeting or hotel event. We recommend getting the largest size your room or booth permits. A bigger image makes a bigger impact with your product or presentation. (Enjoy a stroll on Las Olas Boulevard!)

4. Floor or table stand?

This often gets “overlooked”!

Will you need your TV on a table or a floor stand? When renting a TV, it’s very rare to mount it on a wall unless you’re building a custom prop, such as for art gallery events, in which case you can rent a wall bracket. Otherwise, choose a floor or table stand to rent. (Spend some time shopping at Dadeland Mall!)

We hope you found our “audio visual TV rental tips” helpful and that you’re better prepared for renting a TV monitor for your event in South Florida Miami or Fort Lauderdale.

This way, you can spend your “valuable time” engaging with your audience or simply enjoying more of South Florida!
